Dakota Vegh was born in the town of Langley, British Columbia. At the wise age of three, young Dakota was watching TV when it suddenly clicked in his mind that the people inside the TV weren't actually inside the TV; they were real people doing these things. That's when he knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life..
In high school, he joined his school's acting intensive program, as well as the musical theatre program. In his last year of high school, he entered the film industry as a background actor, and continued to do so for the following year. It was at this point that he enrolled in the two-year full-time film acting conservatory at New Image College.
Since graduating from New Image, he has acted in over 100 projects across various films, short films, immersive theatre pieces and experiences, commercials, and he's also expanded his artistic voice through writing, directing and producing various independent short films.
Most recently, he moved across the world to work on an actor contract with Universal Beijing Resort where he plays two roles, one of which involves a 7 minute immersive bi-lingual show speaking in English and Mandarin, and is currently slated to stay on until April 2026.
He has continued his studies by training under various coaches such as Jeb Beach, Edward Foy, the late Bruce Blain, Kirsten Clarkson and is currently training under Kent S Leung at Cozmikk acting studio in Beijing
