Ava Tolentino is a mix of Filipino and Chinese on her paternal side. Native Filipino (Sulu), Hispanic and Native American on her maternal side.
Her education includes Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in UK under professors Ted Lasso's Jane Bertish (acting), movement lecturer, and star choreographer, Juri Nael, and Game of Throne's Zabrajad "Budgie" Salam (voice).
Before London, she studied theater at Shelton Theater with Matt Shelton, A.C.T. with Drew Khalouf and Waterfront Playhouse with Rachel Adler, as well as TV and Film acting at First Take with Nancy Berwid and Hollywood film director, Katt Shea. Her credit includes the film Nika, an official selection at Woman Up Independent Film Festival. Winner of Best Director (Hollywood) at Festival of Globe 2017.
She has modeled for brands, commercials and lend her voice for movies
Her passion extends to other aspects of theater stage managing, choreography and directing plays and musicals. All were given nods and nominations from Theater Bay Area.
She has refocused to her first love, screenplay writing.
