Altamasch Noor was born in Kabul in 1990. After the Taliban took power in 1992, the family decided to leave the country. Emigration took the young family through Asia and Europe, finally arriving in Hamburg, Germany in 1998.
In 2010 Altamasch came into contact with an acting school for the first time, and the same year, he started his acting training. After completing the drama school, in 2013, he was approached and contracted by the NEXT-TO acting agency in Germany. Shortly before the end of his training, Altamasch started working as a director at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg. From 2013 until today, he have regularly directed integrative stage plays on refugee migration with refugees who have come to live in Germany.
Altamasch Noor shoot national and international cinema and TV productions with well-known directors such as Guy Ritchie, Mika Kaurismäki, Kenneth Glenaan, Jochen Alexander Frydank, Lars Kraume, Detlev Buck and many more. He speaks several languages fluently including German, Dari, Farsi and English and has knowledge of Urdu, Hindi and Pashto.
