Exclusive: Jack Black has boarded Gianna, a horror comedy short written, produced by and starring his School of Rock co-star Rivkah Reyes, as an associate producer.

Also starring Emmy nominee Margaret Cho (Fire Island) and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (Peacemaker), the film follows the newly sober and recently single Gina (Reyes), who is faced with the literal devil herself, after her sliding-scale therapist (Cho) suggests spending time with her inner demons. Described as a "life-affirming family dramedy" starring Oscar winners Dustin Hoffman and Sissy Spacek - truly a family affair, art imitates life with the father / son casting of Dustin & Jake Hoffman and the mother / daughter casting of Sissy & Schuyler Fisk. When Sam (the younger Hoffman) returns to his small town to care for his ailing father, he soon finds himself falling for a local woman, Kate. Simultaneously, his father begins finding love with Kate's mother. But both couples must confront their past in order to make their new love work for the future. There will be no third season of Netflix’s space drama Another Life, star Katee Sackhoff revealed on Twitter Monday. The news, which is not surprising, comes four months after the release of Season 2 on Oct. 14.

“I wish we could do more seasons but sadly it’s just not in the cards,” Sackhoff wrote in her note to fans, thanking “everyone single person who watched & supported Another Life on Netflix.”

Created by Aaron Martin, who also served as showrunner, Another Life centers on astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Sackhoff) who is focused on searching for alien intelligence. Peacemaker explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of Gunn’s 2021 film “The Suicide Squad” – a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The first three episodes of the DC spin-off series premiered Thursday, January 13 and runs through February 17.

While Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed five, including the first, it’s the 5th episode titled “Monkey Dory” that has become the standout story of the first season.

In a story that otherwise leans on agents of chaos like Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Daniela Melchior’s endearing Ratcatcher 2, and conflicted journeymen like Idris Elba’s Bloodsport or Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag, Cena’s stickler of a killer was far from its most compelling character. Exclusive: We have just learned that Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji will play the respective recurring characters of Keeya and Jamil on James Gunn’s upcoming HBO Max series Peacemaker. Netflix has ordered a second season of its Katee Sackhoff-led sci-fi series, Another Life.

Another Life picked a title that proved somewhat prescient, thanks to the news that Netflix has given the series a… well, you know. Indeed, the second season of the streaming sci-fi series has been ordered, providing further interstellar adventures for mission leader Niko Breckinridge and her exploratory crew.

News of the renewal for Another Life Season 2 was confirmed by the show's star, Katee Sackhoff, with a social media video teaser that concluded with her delivered message. With that news set, Netflix’s second season pickup will see the series return with another set of 10 episodes, akin to the first season.

Spoiler Alert: Do not keep reading if you have not seen Episode 3 of Season 9 of “The Walking Dead,” titled “Warning Signs”

“The Walking Dead” continued it’s strong forward momentum in Season 9, with this week’s episode continuing to show the deterioration of the fragile alliance that has been forged.

The episode opens with Justin (Zach McGowan)–the Savior who raised the ire of Daryl (Norman Reedus) in the first two episodes of the season–lying dead on the ground near a brick building. Soon, he reanimates as a walker and rises back to his feet.

The next morning, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) walks through Alexandria in the early morning and visits Carl’s grave. He leaves a freshly grown tomato from the community’s gardens near the grave as a sign of the future Carl helped inspire. Back at home, he and Michonne (Danai Gurira) talk about the bridge building project and her charter.

If the latest episode of “The Walking Dead” is any indication, the big kumbaya between all the survivor communities is about to come crashing down. The third episode of Season 9 unveiled major cracks in Alexandria’s new world order that may prove fatal. As the schism at camp grows, not everyone will make it out alive. In Sunday night’s episode of “The Walking Dead,” we finally found out who’s been sniping Saviors: Oceanside members whose loved ones were killed by the formerly Negan-run group. In the final scene, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) discover Cyndie (Sydney Park) and other Oceanside residents about to execute Arat (Elizabeth Ludlow), who killed her 11-year-old brother before the war.

Arat begs Maggie and Daryl to intervene, but the two end up walking away, and she’s killed. The scene seems to mark a boiling-over point: Rick has been trying to get all the communities to live peacefully with one another, but there’s still too much history for that to be a realistic goal. The episode ends ominously, with Maggie telling Daryl: “We gave Rick’s way a chance. It’s time to see Negan.

Originally scheduled for a March 22nd, 2019 release, Warner Bros. announced earlier today that the upcoming sequel to the 2014 reboot of Godzilla, directed by Gareth Edwards, has been pushed to May 31st, 2019.

The third installment in what’s been dubbed the Legendary Pictures MonsterVerse, preceded by Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters, has already seen a release date fall by the wayside, having initially moved from June 8th, 2018.

Elizabeth Ludlow is trading zombies for monsters, as it is now being reported that The Walking Dead actress is joining the upcoming sequel to Gareth Edwards' reboot, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.

Gareth Edwards' 2014 Godzilla movie did what Roland Emmerich's 1998 version couldn't do: successfully reboot the iconic franchise and one of the screen's greatest monsters for an American audience. Not only that, but in conjunction with Kong: Skull Island three years later, it launched the MonsterVerse, a shared universe of giant creatures drawing from both the King Kong mythos as well as the 60-year-old Toho Studios repertoire.

Godzilla 2 was soon announced and has eventually emerged as Godzilla: King of the Monsters, with the name itself a reference to the Americanized title of the very first movie in the Toho canon, 1954's Gojira.
