Diana Abrecht
- Actress
Diana was born in Frederick, Maryland on January 14, 1984. From a very
young age she dreamed of being a country music singer, like her idols:
Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton. This was what eventually
lead her to take her first acting class and find her true passion.
She attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School from 1998-2002. It was here she met her future husband, Eric Ferguson, during an October 2000 production of The Nerd, directed by Jason Hoffman. Diana stared in her first leading role, Tansy, and Eric was a member of the sound crew.
Diana earned her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre, minoring is Sociology, and graduated from Frostburg State University in December of 2005. Diana will always have a special place in her heart for this place and all the people who touched her life while there. She was blessed to have been taught by Mairzy Yost Rushton, Linda McCulloch, and Nicole Mattis; three of the strongest, most intelligent, enlightened and caring women on the face of the planet. She will also never forget all the life long connections made with the other incredibly talented students studying along with her.
After college, Diana found work as host of a local access television program, Frederick 360. She filmed various web videos and commercials part time while working in retail and event planning.
Diana and Eric were married on July 8, 2006 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Frederick, Maryland. The couple welcomed their son, Nikolas, to the world on February 13, 2011. After a short break to get used to her new role as Mommy, Diana reentered the acting world with a renewed passion and drive, and quickly jump started her film career.
