Mathew graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama in 2012.
Since then he has worked primarily in theatre, though he made his television debut in Mark Gatiss' 2013 Drama 'The Tractate Middoth' and has appeared in a number of short films. He performed in the West End and on Broadway in 2015 in the RSC's acclaimed production of Hilary Mantel's 'Wolf Hall parts 1 & 2', and has worked extensively in classical theatre throughout the London fringe.
Mathew appears in 'Alan' alongside Mhairi Calvey directed by Matthias Lebeer, and 'Spoon Fed' alongside Joseph Mawle and Lesley Sharp directed by Nick Hatton Jones, both due for release in 2017.
