It was the director, Sergio Guerrero Garzafox, who remembered Ethan's reel and asked if he ever sent in a tape. Luckily, they scoured their files and found his tape. Sergio called Ethan in for a screen test. Hours later, Ethan was cast and his first day of filming was 4 days later. A beautiful role that almost never happened.
