A Carolina Girl, this Black and Korean southern belle was born in
Columbia, South Carolina and spent her formative years in Myrtle
Beach. Latasha had a severe stutter as a kid and it caused her to become very shy. That's when her father
decided pageantry was a way for her to break out her shell. She went on
to overcome her stage fright and win the title of Miss Junior South
Carolina 2005 and placed 2nd runner up in the Miss Junior America
Pageant. At 23, Latasha left The University of Georgia in Athens and moved to Atlanta to pursue a career in filmmaking. She has been writing, directing, producing and acting in her own indie productions since then. In 2020, Latasha formed the production company The 1106 Story and has filmed several documentaries and narratives in Atlanta, Miami and Columbia.
