Rabindra Singh Baniya's acting career began with a street play called 'Prajatantra' written and directed by Mohan Niraula. Rabindra has acted in massive hit Nepali movies such as in "Pashupati Parsad" as Hanuman Ji, in "Talakjung Vs Tulke" as Binay, and recently in another hit movie "Jatra" as Jayas. In person, he is emotional, sensitive yet strong and stubborn man with huge talent. If he is serious about anything at all, it is his love for acting. He is also a former Scriptwriter/Director at BBC Media Action.
He became an actor by coincidence. Rabindra came to Kathmandu for his higher education but instead joined Pariwartan Nepal for an acting course. Today with more than 20 street dramas performed in more than 200 places around Nepal, Rabindra has successfully carved his name as one of the most recognized face in Nepali theatre as well as Nepali cinema industry. Besides, acting, directing and producing movies, Rabindra also is Owner/Managing Director at "Green Gold Farm House".
He completed his studies from Tribhuvan University. And currently, he is Actor/Director at Shatkon Arts. He lives in Kathmandu, Nepal and is married to Sita Shrestha. He is originally from Dhading, Nepal.
