After graduating in 2010 from the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, Surrey, Mike has worked for a variety of businesses, individuals, and brands across the globe Mike works solidly, with a passion for his craft placing equal importance on both a collaborative approach and a skilled guiding hand; he brings his zest and broad editing knowledge to the Director's vision.
The breadth of his work is extensive, projects range from feature films, short films, promos, music videos and documentaries. His films have been screened at various festivals around the world including Toronto, Cannes, East End, Sankofa, Hong Kong Art House, Tribeca and Raindance.
Past projects also include Megatopia film feature 'The Flood', starring Lena Headey and Iain Glenn. This challenging project explored the humanitarian and political morass of the immigration crisis in Britain. The feature length 'Palindrome' won nearly 20 awards at various festivals in both Britain and abroad. 'Six Rounds' was nominated for the Independent Best Film Award at the 12th Screen Nation Awards Film & TV Awards (2017).
Previously Mike's short film, Love, inc., won the Royal Television Society Southern Award for Best Drama (2010). A short film, Add Me, was made for the Colchester Film Festival 60 Hour Film Challenge and was screened as one of the top 15 out of 1,400 applications. Snare was awarded the Director's Choice Award at the Manchester Indie Film Festival 2015. A collaboration with Theatrical Niche Ltd, brought together the world of theatre and film for 'Obscenities', a new series of short plays. More recently the short film Maya's Moment which was shot on an Xiaomi 12 series phone and has over 1.5million views on YouTube.
Mike is a regular contributor to the entertainment website WhatCulture which has a monthly audience now surpassing the 10 million mark. Mike's vivid imagination brings a new audacious dimension to editing, producing ground-breaking media which will ensure your audiences want to come back for more!
When Mike is not working, he can be found in the gym enjoying his other art form Boxing, and curating his encyclopedic film collection!
