After receiving his MFA from Columbia University, Neil joined the Upright Citizens' Brigade (UCB) Theatre in New York where he appeared on Maude Night teams Glamour College and Peach and hosted GayTube (but Not Porn) and Fruitcake. He performs live comedy in New York City and is the creator and host of the monthly storytelling game show, SH!T SHOW, at Caveat.
Neil has been a series regular on Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out the News since its premiere in 2020, and has since voiced Anthony Fauci on Season Three of Our Cartoon President.
Neil's short films, NORA'S MOTHER and NORA'S HUSBAND, were selected for 2021 Film Independent Fiscal Sponsorship. His original pilot, TRIBE, was a a semi-finalist at the 2019 Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Contest and was named a Top 50 Teleplay by the 2019 Cinequest Screenplay Competition.
His solo show, Mister Miss America, will have its off-Broadway debut in 2022.
