Gabriel Doramé Ceceña began his career in advertising before pursuing screenwriting at NYU, where he explored the connection between fantasy and human emotions. After moving to Spain, he directed his first short films and wrote the script for the feature Mr. Kite, about an imaginary friend whose dream is to become a real person. This project, along with his feature directorial debut The Man (2018), opened doors to collaborations on films like Silent Night (2023, John Woo / Thunder Road Pictures) and The Dead Don't Hurt (2023, Viggo Mortensen), further shaping his storytelling and deepening his approach to production design and collaboration in filmmaking.
In his two upcoming features-Wonderful People and Intangible-Gabriel explores dark comedy and psychological tension, both as an actor and director, delving into human dynamics, society, and the underlying motives and values that drive us. Both films are set for release in 2025.
