Actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni is on one end of a legal battle between him and his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. The Gossip Girl actress made the first move with a complaint against the filmmaker, alleging s*xual harassment on the sets and orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
As Baldoni fights the allegations with a defamation lawsuit worth over $400 million, the actor’s workplace practices have come to light, revealing more incidents that might have irked other colleagues. A member of the Baha’i faith, Baldoni’s insistence on one practice reportedly made a female executive very uncomfortable.

Sony’s It Ends With Us adapted Colleen Hoover’s powerful story about domestic violence and a resilient woman, but drama between stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni behind the scenes and afterwards has lingered beyond the film’s release in theaters. Arriving to the big screen last August and later heading to streaming on Netflix in December 2024, the Justin-Baldoni-directed film drew many moviegoers, though some didn’t realize what the story was fully about.
Tensions mainly lie between the film’s costars — Lively, who portrays main character Lily Bloom, and Baldoni, who also stars as Ryle, the abusive husband of Lily, in addition to directing the film with a script from Christy Hall. During press for the film, it became clear that Baldoni and Lively were maintaining distance from each other, and even on the red carpet at the New York premiere, they didn’t take photos together.

So, have you ever noticed how life has a knack for throwing curveballs? Like when you think you’ve got it all figured out, only to find out that the pieces don’t fit as neatly as you’d hoped. We all love a good behind-the-scenes drama, but there are some stories that even Hollywood couldn’t write better.
The unfolding saga between Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively, and a handful of other industry players has become the stuff of gossip columns. But sometimes, the most significant characters in a tale aren’t always the ones with their names in the headlines.

One of the lesser-known, yet pivotal, figures in this story is Liz Plank—someone who was once very much on Baldoni’s side. However, we find that her allegiances have shifted surprisingly. In fact, it’s not just a simple case of picking sides.

Blake Lively, in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, seems to have Ari Emmanuel, allegedly the most powerful man in Hollywood, on their side. The CEO talked about the situation on the Freakonomics podcast, as reported by internet personality and right-wing commentator Candace Owens. However, despite Emmanuel’s endorsement, Lively is still unable to get one of her close friends and It Ends With Us costar on the record.

Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively are currently in the headlines for their ongoing battle against Justin Baldoni. The controversy began when Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni for s*xual harassment and spearheading a smear campaign against her during the It Ends With Us promotional tour.
As Baldoni countersued Lively and Reynolds, he also accused the latter of parodying him in last year’s Deadpool & Wolverine through the character of Nicepool. Satirizing real-life celebrities who he has issues with does not seem to be new to Reynolds as fans pointed out his Scarlett Johansson roast in Deadpool 2.

There have been many questions raised throughout the coverage of the Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively lawsuits. With all the information that is coming out, many have been curious about certain pieces of information and decisions that were taken by both parties over the months, becoming a cause for speculation.

These questions have not been limited to Lively and Baldoni, as parties close to them have also been brought into the situation in quite interesting manners. From Taylor Swift to Ryan Reynolds, Colleen Hoover, and even journalist Kjersti Flaa, no one has been exempt from the wrath.
Amid this, one name very close to Baldoni switched sides and joined Lively’s team—Liz Plank. This confused many, considering how closely Plank and Baldoni had worked together for four years. However, the explanation for the same may not be very complicated.

Things seem set to take a sinister turn between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. With lawsuits, countersuits, and allegations flying in both directions, the potential for a jury trial has all the elements of another Hollywood scandal unfolding before the public eye.
This has some obvious similarities with what unfolded between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, although a jury trial is still some distance away. While Lively has alleged that she was subjected to s*xual harassment and a plot from Baldoni to ‘destroy her reputation,’ Baldoni has now responded by suing The New York Times.

Hannah Berner’s Controversial Joke ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Hannah Berner is stirring up controversy after joking about Blake Lively in her new Netflix comedy special, ‘Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year,’ released on Friday.
The 33-year-old former Summer House star quipped, “The word c–t was trending this year. I don’t think Blake Lively was that bad,” referencing a series of past interviews by the actress that resurfaced during her ‘It Ends With Us’ press tour over the summer.
The joke, however, struck a nerve given the timing—just days after Lively filed a legal complaint against ‘It Ends With Us’ director Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and attempting to ruin her reputation.

Fallout has continued over the holidays for Justin Baldoni as more speak out in support of Blake Lively, following her filing of a complaint alleging a targeted smear campaign in retaliation against her addressing of sexual harassment on the set of their film It Ends With Us.
Among those stepping up for Lively include her brother-in-law and High School Musical actor Bart Johnson, who wrote on X Dec. 23, “He’s a fraud. He puts on the “costume“ of a hero, man bun and all. Used all of the trendy catchphrases & buzz words for his podcasts. None of it’s genuine. It’s all theater. And everyone fell for it. For years. Blake Lively’s bombshell sexual harassment complaint against Justin Baldoni set Hollywood running for cover on the eve of the holiday break while simultaneously checking whether they’d missed a memo lowering the bar on public image campaigns for celebrity women.
“It’s really disheartening,” said one senior female industry executive, referring to the detailed allegations of harassment and a social media smear campaign against Lively by her co-star Baldoni. “If you read the complaint, the text messages, it’s crystal clear that something really bad happened here.”
“This is on another level,” said a veteran Hollywood publicity executive, speaking on condition of anonymity, referring to the successful effort by a PR campaign to tag Lively as “tone-deaf, difficult to work with, a bully,” as The New York Times put it.
