After becoming available on VOD on August 30, ComicBook.com now reveals that Trap is coming to Max on October 25, 2024. This streaming release date comes before the planned physical media release for the film, which is set for November 5. The film's streaming date comes almost three months after its theatrical bow.

Different actors have worn the Barney suit and provided a voice to the amicable prehistoric character, including Bob West and Dean Wendt as the voice of Barney. It takes very similar storytelling instincts in order to pull off an effective scare as it does to deliver a genuine laugh: It's all about setups, payoffs, and messing with our expectations. To that end, there's nobody in the business who's proven themselves better suited to that task over the last 25 years than M. Night Shyamalan. The half-hour comedy created by comedian, writer, and actor Andrew Phung (Kim’s Convenience) and his best friend, filmmaker Scott Townend (The Secret Marathon), first aired on CBC in 2022. Gavin Crawford and Sharjil Rasool have joined the second season of Run the Burbs, the lighthearted CBC comedy whose sophomore season will be showrun and executive produced by The Office writer Anthony Q. Farrell.

Dakota Ray Hebert and Ann Pornel will guest star in the Pier 21 Films series created by Andrew Phung and Scott Townend as the Pham family universe expands. The second season cast will include regulars Phung as Andrew Pham, Rakhee Morzaria as Camille Pham, and Zoriah Wong and Roman Pesino as Khia and Leo Pham.
