A little over a year ago, it was reported that Noah Baumbach has been tapped to helm his fourth project with Netflix after Marriage Story, White Noise and The Meyerowitz Stories. Plot details are still kept under wraps and it was only this past January that Netflix revealed the title of the film will be Jay Kelly. Baumbach directs the film from a screenplay written by him and the movie’s co-star, Emily Mortimer. Noah Baumbach is getting back in the awards race, and he’s bringing a star-studded cast including George Clooney and Adam Sandler.
Netflix has announced that Baumbach’s upcoming feature “Jay Kelly” will open in theaters on November 14 before hitting the streaming service on December 5. The announcement was accompanied by a photo of Clooney, who plays the title character, walking past a poster of himself.
“Jay Kelly” appears to be a return to the familiar territory of middle aged neuroses for Baumbach, following the apocalyptic ambition of his previous feature, “White Noise.” While little is known about the film’s plot, it is believed to center around the relationship between Clooney’s eponymous character and a longtime friend played by Sandler. A cryptic official synopsis reads “Everybody knows Jay Kelly, but Jay Kelly doesn’t know himself.”

With a solid list of films under his belt, director Luca Guadagnino’s forthcoming project, After the Hunt, is likely to be another impressive piece of work. With a screenplay by first-time writer Nora Garrett, the film aims to explore the divisions between people that often lead to extreme points of view. As such, it promises to be a movie that’s emblematic of the current time.
Given it’s not a movie about love or sexuality, the thriller will be a bit different from Guadagnino’s recent films. It will instead tackle issues surrounding concepts of consent, particularly between people of different generations within the world of academia. However, specific details of After the Hunt are relatively hard to come by. Nonetheless, its stellar cast indicates the film is all but guaranteed to be a must-watch once it arrives in theaters, whenever that may be.

The Garvey sisters in Bad Sisters go from a bad situation in Season 1 to an even worse one in Season 2. The Apple TV+ original Irish black comedy was an instant hit when it debuted in August 2022. The show went on to earn four Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress for Sharon Horgan, who also developed the series.
In Season 1 of Bad Sisters, the five sisters find themselves at odds with John Paul (Claes Bang), the husband of second-oldest sister Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), who not only treats her terribly, but wreaks havoc onall their lives. The sisters’ plan to have him killed didn’t quite pan out as they had hoped. But John Paul did, in fact, end up dead. And they ended up at the center of the case when a desperate insurance agent started looking for evidence of foul play to avoid the big payout. Things took...

Now in its second season, the drama only further amplifies in the Apple TV+ series, Bad Sisters. Yes, the Garvey sisters continue to be as thick as thieves (or rather murderers) in the follow-up installment, but with each one of their movements put under a microscope by the police, they’ll need to stay on their toes if they have any hopes of truly moving on with their lives. Today, Collider is excited to share an exclusive sneak peek of this week’s episode, “Who by Water”. The sixth episode of the second season will see Owen McDonnell’s (Killing Eve) Ian attempt to prove his devotion to the Garvey clan, a decision that will snap Detective Houlihan’s (Thaddea Graham) attention in his direction.

If the beginning of Bad Sisters episode 3, doesn’t have you crying, then you, my friend, have a heart of stone. It seems our fears have come true because Grace has in fact passed. In this episode, the show explores Grace’s relationship with Roger’s sister Angelica and also Ursula’s guilt over giving Grace some pills. An old character returns to the scene, but why? We don’t really know yet. Also, I just want to add that this episode is peak TV comedy, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the dark humor used to ease the pain of Grace’s death. With that said, I won’t turn this into a puff piece about how brilliant all the actresses are so let’s jump straight into everything that went down in season 2, episode 3 of Bad Sisters.

Not everything needs a second season.
“Bad Sisters,” created by Sharon Horgan, Brett Baer, and Dave Finkel, and based on the Belgian series “Clan,” was one such series, neatly wrapping up the eponymous Garvey sisters’ story with ten episodes that premiered on Apple TV+ in 2022.
But of those many shows that should have left well enough alone, a rare few manage to pull off that second installment (if not more beyond that) with — if not resounding success, then aplomb. “Bad Sisters” didn’t need a second season, but Horgan and her team execute the near-impossible task of picking up, building out, and smartly continuing the story, even if Season 1 remains superior.
Season 2 catches up with the sisters — Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), Eva (Horgan), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene), and Becka (Eve Hewson) — a few years after the other four planned to kill Grace’s husband, only for her to end up killing him herself.

In hindsight, it figures that Bad Sisters’ Roger couldn’t possibly bear up under the weight of such a massive secret.
So when the Apple TV+ series returns for Season 2 (the first two episodes dropped today; this recap covers Episode 1), Grace really shouldn’t be all that surprised that her neighbor/admirer is having second thoughts about being an accessor to her former husband’s murder.

I thoroughly enjoyed Season 1 of Apple TV+’s Bad Sisters… and at the same time, I didn’t see any need for it to continue with a Season 2.
The pitch-black comedy, centered around a tight-knit group of Irish sisters who all come under suspicion when one sister’s jerk of a husband ends up dead, was a morbid delight in its freshman run, powered by terrific performances and a bracing dose of gallows humor. But the story tied up so neatly in the end that a second season seemed unnecessary. Well, we’re getting one anyway — the first two episodes...

Another season of Bad Sisters from creator Sharon Horgan, based on Malin-Sarah Gozin’s 2012 Belgian television series Clan, is underway on Apple TV+ with all five Garvey sisters returning alongside newcomers Fiona Shaw and Thaddea Graham.
Following the wild pattern of events that unfolded in the first season, a murder mystery still haunts Eva (Horgan), Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), Bibi (Sarah Greene) and Becka (Eve Hewson) Garvey. The suspense and — at times — silliness as well as sisterhood continues with the first two episodes arriving Nov. 13 followed by one per week through December 23.

*Warning — This article contains spoilers for Bad Sisters Season 1*
The Prick is dead — long live Bad Sisters! Oh yes, whilst we may have finally found out how Claes Bang's despicable John Paul met his grisly (and thoroughly well deserved) end at the climax of Bad Sisters Season 1, the story of the Garvey sisters and their killer secret is far from over. Season 2 of Sharon Horgan's whipsmart, blackly comic adaptation of Belgian crime comedy Clan is just around the corner, and the first trailer for the new series sees siblings Eva (Horgan), Becka (Eve Hewson), Bibi (Sarah Greene), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), and Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) all back and trying to protect one another as the police — and Fiona Shaw's newcomer Angelica — close in. Watch it below:

“Bad Sisters,” Apple TV+’s Emmy-nominated dark comedy-thriller, is finally returning for Season 2, and it got a new trailer on Tuesday. The trailer promises further complications for the five Garvey sisters right when things are finally getting better for them, as they try to keep their murder of John Paul (Claes Bang) a secret while a new character played by Fiona Shaw (“True Detective: Night Country”) is onto them. The trailer is scored by an Irished-up version of Fiona Apple’s “Criminal,” which opens with the lyric “I’ve been a bad, bad girl.”
“Bad Sisters” premiered in 2022 and earned four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Sharon Horgan (“Catastrophe”), who also co-created the show with “New Girl” veterans Brett Baer and Dave Finkel and serves as executive producer. The Irish series also received a Peabody Award, a BAFTA Award for Best Drama Series, and...

Even though the world’s better off without Grace’s husband, that doesn’t mean the world of Bad Sisters‘ titular characters is all sunshine and roses. The cops have questions, and the sisters will have to figure out who (if anyone) to trust in season two of the award-winning dramedy.
Emmy Award nominee Sharon Horgan created the series and stars along with Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson. The season two cast also includes Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, and Peter Claffey. In addition, F Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon, and Justine Mitchell are part of the talented ensemble cast.

After the deadly acts of season one, Apple TV+’s Bad Sisters returns for its second season as the central siblings face increasing suspicion and fear about what they did.
In the trailer released Tuesday, the women are first seen atop a cliff and opening the trunk of a car as showrunner and star Sharon Horgan’s Eva assures them that everything’s going to be Ok. But then, in a microcosm of the concerns sprinkled throughout the second season preview, the women are startled by something they see inside the trunk.
The trailer jumps ahead to Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) getting remarried to a man named Ian (Owen McDonnell) as Eva again tries to offer reassurance, saying, “After everything that happened, things are finally looking up.”
But as Grace dances with Roger (Michael Smiley), who helped her kill her abusive husband J.P. (Claes Bang), he asks if she ever...
