American actor / SAG Stunt Driver Dan Brockett has been featured in many films, TV shows and commercials ad a driver and stunt performer, but is most known for his role of "Officer Dan" in the popular YouTube series "Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle" where he plays an aloof police officer determined to catch 2 stunt riders, Nick Apex and Ernie Vigil, even appearing along side Dax Shepard in the 4th installment.
He was born Daniel Brockett on December 19, 1980, Albuquerque, NM. He is the son of William Brockett, retired USAF, and Barbara Beck, an Artist. Dan was the first of their two children, with one younger brother Mike. Dan grew up as an Air Force brat, living all over the world before graduating high school in Leander, TX in 1999, then returning to Albuquerque, NM in 2003.
Dan first hit the viral video scene in 2012 with the release of "Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle 2" where he piloted a 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra in a epic chase up Mary Hill Loops Road in Washington State. The video was number 1 on YouTube for almost 2 weeks straight, ending up at around 27 Million views world wide. The subsequent sequels released were solid efforts, though none matched the explosive action of number 2. He has since created a web series, and done commercial stunt driving for multiple channels and projects.
On top of the video content he has directed, acted and starred in, Dan ran 2 seasons of the professional race series Formula Drift, touring the country documenting the struggles of a grassroots driver in his "Whiskey Garage Chronicles."
Though he received no formal acting training, Dan worked as an extra during his Formula Drift stint on the show "Manhattan" where he met the local stunt coordinator for New Mexico. Thanks to the stunt coordinator, Dan was able to work as a principal stunt double, and attain his SAG eligibility in 2015. He has since driven and done stunts in numerous film, TV and commercial projects since.
