Chioma Onyenwe is the founder of Raconteur Productions, an international film production company telling stories at the intersection of history, culture and identity. She started the August Meeting Movement, which takes the story of the 1929 Aba Women's War on tour. She also created 23419, Nigeria's 1st true-crime podcast. Her documentary Ime Ego was a part of the Generation Africa collection. Her first narrative feature, 8 Bars & A Clef, was nominated for the 2016 AMAA, and her latest feature, 'I do Not Come To You By Chance,' premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023 and won the Audience Choice Awards at the Africa International Film Festival 2023.
She co-founded Artdey, a global e-commerce platform and virtual art gallery created to support the historically underrepresented market of African contemporary art by connecting African artists to international collectors, including interior and film set decorators.
