Simon 'Bones' Palacio
Simon was born in Miami, Florida in 1984. After graduating a
Philadelphia area high school in 2002, Simon enlisted in the US Navy
for the submarine nuclear propulsion program and served his time aboard
the USS Toledo (SSN 769). While in naval service he took an interest in
skydiving (2003) and began using all his free time and leave to pursue
it. Simon became a licensed skydiving instructor in 2006. He left the
Navy in 2008 as a first class petty officer to go to college on the
Post 9/11 GI bill. Simon worked as a professional skydiver throughout
college and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical
Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, in 2013. Simon has organized several
skydiving state and national records while also participating in
several world skydiving records. Simon currently lives in midtown of
Houston, TX where he practices several hobbies including beer brewing
and bee keeping.
