Johanne Fossheim
- Actress
Johanne Fossheim is a Norwegian actress educated in Australia. For years she did lead roles at Dracula's Cabaret Theatre (Australia's largest Cabaret & Musical Theatre) and lead roles at The La Mama Theatre in Melbourne. She then moved back home to Norway. She has in recent years been working both in Norway and Denmark. In Norway she has appeared in several short films with lead roles and minor roles, and she won an Award in the US for her role in the quirky mini-series "Made in Mosjøen" by Aleksander Nordaas (Director/writer of the success-film "Thale"). The Maverick Movie Awards gave her the Award as Best Supporting Actress in 2016.
In the last few years she has worked at different Norwegian and Danish theaters, e.g: Nordland Teater, Hordaland Teater, Turnéteatret i Trøndelag, Teaterhuset Filuren, Syddjurs Egnsteater etc. Critics rated her solo-show "Skaptroll" ("Closet-trolls") 6 out of 6 in 2014 (terningkast 6). Johanne wrote this one-woman's show herself, and toured with it to several festivals throughout Norway in 2014. One of Norway's largest newspapers "Bergens Tidende" also gave "terningkast 6" to the theatre piece "Rekneprinsen" and raved about Johanne's interpretation of the title role as a sensitive twelve-year-old boy in search of a father figure.
