There were so many A-List stars on the red carpet at the 2024 Cfda Fashion Awards and we’re recapping everyone who was in attendance!

Blake Lively, Kylie Jenner, and Cynthia Erivo were among the celebs who walked the red carpet on Monday night (October 28) at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

Cynthia, who is playing Elphaba in the Wicked movie, is serving as host of the annual fashion event.

“The Cfda is thrilled to return to the American Museum of Natural History after the success of last year’s awards and looks forward to celebrating the best of American creativity and ingenuity this fall,” Cfda CEO Steven Kolb said. “We are grateful to Amazon Fashion for the continued support of our biggest fundraiser of the year benefitting the Cfda Foundation.”

So many stars stepped out on Wednesday night (October 9) to attend the New York City Ballet 2024 Fall Fashion Gala.

The event was hosted at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, and the guestlist included everyone from the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker to Justin Theroux and his fiancee Nicole Brydon Bloom.

The two actors and musicians showed their support for their friend Alessandro Michele, who is the new creative director of the fashion brand, and this marks his first collection with Valentino.

Kylie Jenner, Ayo Edebiri, Dove Cameron, and Nina Dobrev attended the BoF 500 Class of 2024 event on Saturday evening (Sept. 28) held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris, France.

The event celebrated the new inductees to The BoF 500 for 2024, the definitive index of the most influential people in fashion.

The Kering Foundation brought out an A-List group of celebs for its third Caring for Women dinner during New York Fashion Week!

Kim Kardashian, Dakota Johnson, Kerry Washington, Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry, and Orlando Bloom were among the dozens of stars at the event held at The Pool on Monday (September 9) in New York City.

Salma Hayek joined her husband Francois-Henri Pinault, who is the CEO of fashion brand Kering. The company owns such luxury brands as Gucci, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, and Bottega Veneta.

“For women and children to be free to fulfill their potential unencumbered by the burdens of fear, threat and trauma, it is paramount that we address violence at its roots to change behavior and heal our collective culture,” Francois-Henri said in a statement announcing the dinner earlier this year.

Zackary Drucker will direct the upcoming biopic about Andy Warhol superstar Candy Darling starring Hari Nef. John Cameron Mitchell also joins the untitled film about the transgender icon as executive producer.

It was previously announced that Nef (“Barbie”) will star in the movie.

The film traces Darling’s childhood in Long Island through her years alongside underground icons Holly Woodlawn and Jackie Curtis in Warhol’s Factory scene, and her influence on musicians including Lou Reed, the Velvet Underground and Patti Smith. She was immortalized in popular songs including Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side” and The Velvet Underground’s “Candy Says.”

Darling also starred in Warhol’s cult film “Women In Revolt” before she died of leukemia in 1974 at age 29.

“I’ve dedicated my life and career to amplifying the history of trans and queer icons, and their impact in shaping art and culture for everyone,” Drucker said in a statement.

Fashion designer Tory Burch has partnered with fellow fashion designer-turned-restaurateur Humberto Leon on a new Los Angeles pop-up shop, open this week at 8483 Melrose Avenue at the corner of La Cienega Boulevard. Following the box office success of Barbie, there’s been a lot of chatter about a potential sequel that would see Margot Robbie reprise the titular character role.

However, in a new interview, Robbie seems to shoot down any possibilities of a follow-up to the Greta Gerwig-directed film.

“I think we put everything into this one. We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something,” Robbie told the Associated Press in an interview. “Greta put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.”

Barbie made over $1.4 billion at the box office and Robbie also reflected on the success of the film noting that “original films can still hit huge.”

“It doesn’t have to be a sequel or a prequel or a remake,” Robbie continued. “It can be totally original. It can still be big given the big budget to do that.

Ivan Bart, the former president of Img Models who helped launch the modeling careers of the likes of Lauren Hutton, Carolyn Murphy, Stephanie Seymour and Gigi and Bella Hadid, died over the weekend following a short illness. He was 60.

The news was posted on his official Instagram account with a black-and-white photo of Bart. A caption on the photo reads, “Our world has lost one of the greats. Ivan Bart, 1963-2023.” No other details were immediately available.

He was named president of the agency in 2014, after it merged with WME. Under Bart’s leadership, Img Models also built the careers of Hailey Bieber, Alton Mason, Wisdom Kaye and others.

Throughout his career, Bart championed diverse casting and inclusion and is credited with breaking down barriers for models including Alek Wek, Hari Nef, Precious Lee, Zach Miko, Quannah Chasinghorse and Paloma Elsesser.

Believe it or not, there are still a few people who haven’t headed down to their local theatre to watch “Barbie”, which recently surpassed $1.38 billion at the box office to become the year’s highest-grossing movie.

For those who’ve been waiting for “Barbie” to arrive on video-on-demand platforms, they won’t have to wait long.

Entertainment Weekly reports that “Barbie” will arrive on VOD on Tuesday, Sept. 12, available on platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and others.

Indeed, director Greta Gerwig and her collaborators fill their billion-dollar blockbuster (Barbiebuster?) with cheeky innuendos, like having Ryan Gosling and Simu Liu's Kens threaten to "beach" each other off, or Gosling's Ken being checked out by a man when he and Stereotypical Barbie (Margot Robbie) are skating around Venice Beach. In fact, the Kens are more than just a little camp in general, from their incredibly colorful attire to the way they romp around Barbieland pantomiming that they're riding horses "Monty Python"-style.

HBO has canceled "The Idol" - created by Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye, Sam Levinson, and Reza Fahim - after one season. On Aug. 28, a spokesperson for HBO confirmed the news to Popsugar, saying, "'The Idol' was one of HBO's most provocative original programs, and we're pleased by the strong audience response. After much thought and consideration, HBO, as well as the creators and producers have decided not to move forward with a second season. We're grateful to the creators, cast, and crew for their incredible work."

Reps for Tesfaye did not immediately respond to Popsugar's request for comment.

The controversial series from Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, will not be returning for a second season.

It’s not a huge surprise given the critical and commercial reception of the show, which starred Tesfaye and Lily-Rose Depp. It also came after extensive reshoots following the departure of director Amy Seimetz, as revealed by Deadline in April 2022, and a reduced order taking its total number of episodes to five.

Some of the cast did mention the possibility of a second season during interviews, though show insiders said that creators did not come into the production process with a plan for a multi-season arc.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph, who played one of the managers of Depp’s pop star Jocelyn, previously said that the first season was left intentionally open-ended for the possibility of a second.
