Logan Chavarria
- Actor
Logan Chavarria was born in Sacramento, California and completed his classical theater training at American River College. He debuted in the college theater production, "South Pacific", and continued his experience with entries such as "Two Gentlemen of Verona", "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Some Like It Hot". He went on to reside in San Francisco, California where he followed up his foundational studies by being accepted into the American Conservatory Theater Training Congress. The rigorous curriculum translated his prior knowledge of the craft into the comprehensive output expected of an industry professional. The program also unfurled previously unexplored aspects of performance such as clowning and stage combat, expanding his avenues of storytelling.
American Conservatory Theater was his first exposure to the Meisner Technique, a turning point in his artistic education. He went on to complete a two year program with Rachael Adler, a teacher designated to teach the technique by Sandford Meisner himself, at the Waterfront Playhouse and Conservatory. The strict requirement for consistent, daily practice cultivated his passion into a discipline. It stressed the importance of furnishing a lifestyle that supports your art as a primary and to fine tune the body as an instrument on an ongoing basis. Methods such as Linklater Technique and Alexander Technique for the development of the voice and body became a priority and were dually studied at Berkeley Repertory Theatre.
After this expansive training, he moved to Los Angeles, California to begin his foray into the entertainment industry. His ongoing training includes renowned acting institutions such as The Imagined Life, Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop and Lesly Kahn & Co. He also augments to his previous improvisational training by instruction at The Groundlings, a decorated academy for improvisation and sketch comedy. Despite his training geared towards theatrical acting, he began his professional experience in the business by booking a national commercial. He continues to seek commercial opportunities while simultaneously accruing credits and laying the bedrock for advancement towards a career in film and television.
