Verena Puhm

Verena Puhm is an investigative storyteller & filmmaker with a passion for social justice-oriented projects. Verena is an Austrian screenwriter/creative producer and production manager for BBC and CNN docuseries such as "History of Sitcom" and "Story of Late Night", as well as content for Eli Roth's "Haunted House". She has worked as a staff writer on the German Pro7Sat1 prime-time TV shows "Mission Wahnsinn" and "The Big Surprise", and has garnered over a dozen awards as a writer and actress for her short films and commercials, including the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Award, ADC Art Directors Club Award, and Grand Prix Victoria Award. Since 2016, she has been developing scripted TV series content for the American and German-speaking markets. Her latest documentary feature "Disaster at Devil's Jaw", which she co-wrote and co-directed, will be released in 2023. Verena has an MFA in writing and directing from UAS Salzburg. As a seriously nerdy history buff, she is a devoted reader of redacted FBI files.
