Born and raised in Córdoba, Spain, Macian grew up in a talented musical family, proficient in more than 25 different musical instruments from the brass, percussion, string, and woodwind families. His grandfather, Eugenio Macian Cervelló, was a renowned orchestra conductor who conducted more than one hundred masterpieces which are still performed today. When Macian was young, he would join his father's band at the bullfighting arenas and at the age of 11, he began performing flamenco and classical guitar while performing in school plays. By the time he was 16, his education also included additional studies in music schools in Castellón, Spain, from which his family originated. After he moved to Los Angeles in his 20s, he played in a number of bands, performing in live shows and going on tour. He was often seen onstage performing in all the major rock clubs on Sunset Strip, while continuing his theater education at the Christian Rodrigo Actors Studio and the Ruskin School of Acting in L.A.
