Born in Bangkok, Thailand, and currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Patrick Wirtz started making films after stints in academia, urban planning, and editorial photography. In 2016 his first feature, No Greater Odds, a documentary on community colleges, screened at the Library of Congress to U.S. Congressional Education Committee members and earned him a Pacific Southwest Emmy nomination for Best Director, Feature Non-Scripted. Patrick co-owns 1905 Films with filmmaker Deborah Richards. As producer, their first feature, Move Me No Mountain, won the Grand Prize - Best Feature at the 2024 Indie Vegas Film Festival. 1905 Films' second feature, the documentary Shaken and Stirred: the Story of Flair Bartending, is set for release in Spring, 2025. 1905 Film's horror feature, Scissor Mouth, is in development.
