Leysan is a versatile and vivid actress based in Vancouver. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts at Sarah Lawrence in New York City, majoring in theatre and political science. Her trilingual background and passion for fierce female roles has given her the opportunity to play unforgettable women such as Fefu in Fefu and her Friends by the avant-garde María Irene Fornés; Phaedra in Jean Racine's Phèdre; Lubov Andreyevna in Chekov's The Cherry Orchard and The Bride in Federico García Lorca's Spanish rural tragedy Blood Wedding. With much experience in the theatrical world of tragedy and translated classical text, Leysan is thrilled to work on contemporary writing alongside emerging writers, bringing new characters to life on the stage.
