Denise Capezza

Denise Capezza is an Italian actress, born in Naples.
After fifteen years of academic studies throughout her childhood and early teenage years, she eventually graduated in ballet. Indulging in her lifelong spontaneous love for theatre and cinema, she decided to take on acting, first studying in Naples before moving to Rome. In 2012 she was cast as the main character in the Turkish tv series Uçurum (2012), which brought her to Istanbul, where she had to learn Turkish at a fast pace and in quite a short time. After two successful seasons of the series, she took part in several other projects for the Turkish market.
Encouraged by the personal and professional growth experienced abroad, in 2015, she decided to return to Italy, determined to build a career for herself in her country. Shortly afterwards, director Stefano Sollima cast her to play Marinella in Gomorrah (2014). She then took part in a variety of TV, film and theatre projects: among these, she played Natalia in the TV series Baby (2018), performed in the theatre play "After The End" by Dennis Kelly and served as the main character in the social film Un mondo in più (2021).
In 2022, she played Giuseppina in the TV series Bang Bang Baby (2022) and she is in the cast of Crimes of the Future (2022), directed by David Cronenberg and premiered at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. So, she played the role of the lawyer Alessandra Persiano in Vincenzo Malinconico, avvocato d'insuccesso (2022), a TV series based on the best-selling books by Diego De Silva, and she is involved in the filming of Unwanted (2023), directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel.
Between 2023 and 2024 she worked on several projects, including Holy Shoes (2023), Sul più bello - La serie (2024), the Netflix tv series Deceitful Love (2024) and the new Disney+ fantasy tv series Uonderbois (2024). Denise is also among the leads of Diva Futura (2024), premiered at the 81st Venice Film Festival. She plays Moana Pozzi.
