Jim was trained by Dr. Rueven Feuerstein in the thinking skills training method known as Instrumental Enrichment used by the Israeli Mossad and education system to teach higher order thinking skills. Dr. Feuerstein was French Developmental Psychology pioneer Piaget's disciple.

Jim taught Instrumental Enrichment for the Etobicoke Board of Education.

Jim has opened many private schools in the Peoples Republic of China and wrote the book, The Pink Pagoda detailing his efforts to save baby girls from gendercide there.

Jim has had an education career from that of classroom teacher (special education) to Director of Education. His recent acting career began in 2016 with someone asking him to drive him to an audition. While waiting in the hallway reading a book he was asked to audition himself. He got the job.
