- Sayyeshaa Saigal is an Indian actress known for her work in Tamil films. Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Saigal attended the Ecole Mondiale World School.
Hailing from a family of legendary actors like Saira Banu and Naseem Banu, she debuted at the age of 18 with the Telugu movie Akhil (2015). While the film did not do well at the box office, her performance received positive reviews.
She also received a Best Female Debut - Telugu nomination at the SIIMA Award.
Saigal debuted in the Hindi film industry with the action thriller Shivaay (2016). Her performance as a budding IFS officer got her a nomination for Superstar of Tomorrow - Female at the Stardust Awards and Most Entertaining Debut Actress at the Big Star Entertainment Awards.
Her Tamil debut happened with an action-adventure film, Vanamagan (2017). She was applauded for her performance as a businesswoman in the movie and received a nomination for Best Debut Actress at SIIMA.
She next appeared in the Tamil film Kadaikutty Singam (2018) and Junga (2018), both action films.
Her next release was Ghajinikanth (2018), in which she played the role of a Kuchupudi dancer, Vandhana. The film was a remake of the Telugu film Bhale Bhale Magadivoy (2015).
In 2019, she played the role of PM's press secretary in Kaappaan (2019), an action thriller film. The movie was a huge success, and Saigal's character was deemed more fleshed out than her previous characters.
Saigal appeared in Disney+ Hotstar's Teddy (2021), a fantasy action film.
