Lorenzo P. Adams was born in the South East quarter of Washington D.C . He resigned from his career within local government to relocate to NYC in 2018 in hopes of pursing his passion in film. Alongside his producing/creative partner, Fortuna Gebresellasie, Lorenzo P. Adams is a writer, director, producer, and founder of LPA Film based out of New York. In college, he developed a strong interest in filmmaking after taking an elective film course. His newfound passion combined with his love for the horror movie genre created an urge to create the films that inspired his love for the genre. As a result, this led to the 2017/2018 filming, release and screening of the atmospheric horror short "Rotary" which screened in 19 genre festivals and won two awards.
Unfortunately, unforeseen health challenges and obstacles would put a pause on Lorenzo's filmmaking ambitions. He took a hiatus from filmmaking to focus on tackling personal challenges and healing, only to finally return to the love he has for filmmaking.
Back to doing what he loves, the psychological pandemic horror short "Simone" was born and released to warm feedback. Followed by his fan-made horror prequel short film "Halloween '63", scheduled to screen in festivals in the fall. Lorenzo has also started development a few projects, one of which will be his next bite size re-imagining of the 1992 urban folklore horror classic "Candyman." Set for filming this winter. He's in development for his first indie feature film, and will soon be releasing his first horror anthology novella titled "I Am Here To End You" later this year.
Lorenzo's goal is to create films as a horror fan first, and filmmaker second and show that you don't need a lot of money to create quality content that horror fans and fans of indie filmmaking can enjoy. Influenced by the likes of Dario Argento, Alexander Aja, Jordan Peele, John Carpenter, and Alfred Hitchcock, he also hopes to be a new entity and voice within the world of indie horror.
