Narayan Ghosh Mita was born on 24 January 1932 in Dacca, Bengal Presidency, British India [now in Dhaka, Bangladesh]. He was a director and writer, known for Lathial (1975), Alor Michil (1974) and Harano Sur (1987). He died on 3 March 2002 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
