Mateo d'Amato is a American actor born in Providence, Rhode Island and later raised between Miami, FL and Portland, OR. He is of Latin/ Italian ancestry. Television appearances include Blue Bloods (CBS); Jessica Jones (NETFLIX); and Betty (HBO). He's been featured and lead many successful independent films; music videos; and national/international commercials. Regularly performing voice over work in numerous film and television series, Mateo is an Audie Award nominated narrator for the book STUCK on Audible and can be heard in podcasts, video games, cartoon series, and the mediation app Calm. He's been hailed by reviewers for several stage performances and has a solid theater background. His leading role as Eduardo in Eduardo Machado's autobiographical play, "Not About Me" became a NY Times Critic's pick and earned him widespread praise for his performance. He is also the recipient of two acting awards for best ensemble including The Fresh Fruit award for his role in Village Orpheus at the Wild Project and for his supporting role in the independent film Green Brothers, which premiered at the London Eye International Film Festival. Mateo is fluent in Spanish and studied acting at The New School in New York City, the Frei University in Berlin, Germany and with several coaches like Anthony Abeson, Bob Krakower, Deborah Hedwall, Fay Simpson and Zisan Ugurlu.
