- After earning a Public Health degree and a minor in Chemistry, Richa worked for several years as a Research Study Assistant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City on the landmark, national, multi-institutional Childhood Cancer Survivor Study / Long Term Follow Up Study funded by a grant from the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, now coordinated through St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, under study principal investigators/steering committee members from both MSKCC and University of Minnesota.
- Richa was the the first and only Indian American woman to have worked in the William Morris Agency Latin Music Touring division representing artists including Juanes, Arturo Sandoval, Shakira and Enrique Iglesias. She was the first Indian American woman to work in the Latin Music touring business. Richa speaks Spanish.
- Richa continues to work as a management consultant in the music industry including tour management and artist management.
- Richa was featured in the debut music video for the r&b/pop/boy band 98 DEGREES in their breakthrough hit song 'Invisible Man' on Motown Records, in 1997. This may make her the first Indian American woman in a Motown Records video. She was the first Indian American woman in an American boy band video of the 90s.
- She has appeared in and made cameos in several music videos including those of artists Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood, Matthew West and Luke Bryan.
- She was a Calculus tutor at her STEM high school at the age of 15.
- Richa is fluent in Hindi and Urdu. She also speaks Spanish.
