Nick Hiratsuka
Nicholas Ryan Hiratsuka (Nick Hiratsuka) was born on May 20th 1999 in Tucson Arizona. He directed his first film in the 6th grade when he convinced his teacher to let him use class time to make a short film based off a novel they read in class. He wrote the screenplay, cast the entire class in roles, shot the film during recess, and edited it all on his family's home computer.

When he was 14 he began work on his Eagle Scout project. This project was a campaign against cyber-bullying for the youth of St. Mark's United Methodist Church with the primary element of this campaign being a 30 minute short film on cyber-bullying. This project took two years to complete, over 500 total volunteer hours, and cost $800-$1,200. Due to his work on the film he received "The Good Samaritan Award" from the United Methodist Men organization in 2018.

Due to the end of a personal relationship, he wrote and directed his next film "Life's Overwhelming Variety of Emotions", which was completed in approximately four months. He spent the next two years working on his next film "The Knock". After several unexpected challenges with that film, he found the inspiration for his next film "Houseless", which is about a filmmaker so devoted to the art of cinema that he ended up homeless.

In 2020 he began working with UTV Studios where he worked on sound for "Twelve Steps", was the 1st Assistant Director for "Urban Knight" & "Skin Deep", Produced "Skin Deep" and "Lifelines" (where he won Best Fiction Film & Best Picture), then finally directed "bloom". Through his production company Just4youstudios he directed "The Witch in the Woods" & "Memory Lane".
