Phillip C. Washington was raised by Phillip and Deloris Washington in Jackson, MS. His passion for acting was sparked at a young age during a school play he wrote and starred in. This experience introduced him to the world of screenwriting.
However, with limited support and acting considered "not a real job," Phillip worked in retail for eight years. During this time, he honed his social skills and practiced acting daily by adopting different characters for each customer interaction.
In 2014, Phillip enrolled in the Hinds Community College Film Program, where he gained a deeper understanding of the film industry, including how to create his own content. Today, he shares his knowledge by training the next generation of filmmakers. He auditions bi-monthly, writes, films, and edits his own work as well as projects for others.
