- Peter Lewys Preston is a German actor with Slovenian/American roots. He studied at the Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia and at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich, Germany, where he graduated summa cum laude. He won the 'Bundeswettbewerb Gesang' two times in a row and is a two time sponsorship award winner of the 'Jugend kulturell' foundation (2013) and the 'Deutscher Musikrat' (2010).
His professional career began in 2013 as Christian de Neuvillette in CYRANO DE BERGERAC at Bayerischer Rundfunk and as Jimmy's Mum in the German speaking premiere of REEFER MADNESS at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich. After that he starred as Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT (2014), played Robert Martin in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE (2015) at the Prinzregentetheater in Munich and did the one-man show NOVECENTO: THE LEGEND OF 1900 (2015) by Alessandro Barrico. He was cast in IO SENZA TE in Zurich and afterwards played Mortimer in KING - EDWARD II. (2016) by Christopher Marlowe.
In 2015 he released his debut album REACHING FOR HEAVEN, where Lewys Preston did not only present himself as singer, but also established himself internationally as a composer.
From 2016-2018 he was employed at the national theatre in Linz, Austria where originated the roles of Brickass and Florestan in the world premiere of Oystein Wiik&Gisle Kverndock's take on IN 80 DAYS AROUND THE WORLD, the iconic role of the famous pianist Rachmaninoff in the European premiere of Dave Malloy's PRÉLUDES (2017) and Carl Bruner in the German speaking premiere of GHOST - THE MUSICAL (2017).- IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
