Charles M. Schulz’s world of Peanuts was always a little odd, with a flying doghouse piloted by a beagle, but it’s now gotten even weirder thanks to Netflix hit “Stranger Things.” In a three-minute animated short created by Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez, “A Stranger Things Christmas” combines the streaming horror series with the Peanuts gang to create what could become a new holiday classic. Patterned after “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” the short follows Will Byers, who returns home from the upside down but can’t seem to shake off that traumatic experience. Also Read: 'Stranger Things...

“Stranger Things” envisioned as “Peanuts” is the mashup we didn’t know we needed, but are grateful someone made it. Titled “A Stranger Things Christmas,” the video was created by Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez and is a play on the holiday classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
In the 3-minute short, Will Byers is the Charlie Brown of the group and can’t seem to shake off his traumatic experience in the Upside Down.
“I think there’s something wrong with me Dustin,” Will tells his Linus-esque buddy. “I like that I’m not trapped in the Upside Down and hiding from monsters anymore. But I’m still not happy.”

The fever for Netflix's Stranger Things has abated for the time being, as have the many wonderful and entertaining parodies, but this new Charlie Brown/Peanuts take may just restart the engine. Did I mention it's Christmas themed? While I'm normally against anything relating to Christmas before Halloween, I'll make an exception for Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez's "A Stranger Things Christmas" because it is so amazing and perfect. (Sidebar: you're probably going to see a lot of Stranger Things costumes this weekend.) I may be a bit biased as I've been following Lahav's work for many years now (and she's animated me). Her geek-themed parody videos are unparalleled, and her original series Belle & Tina are Time Travelers needs to be on Cartoon Network immediately. We've gotten a bizarre real-world crossover of the show with NBC's Parks and Recreation but in Lahav's latest video we get to see how...

Will struggles to overcome his post-Upside Down anxiety, and he enlists the help of Peanutified Dustin, Eleven, Lucas, and Mike. "I like that I'm not trapped in the Upside Down and hiding from monsters anymore," Will says to Dustin as the scene begins. "But I'm still not happy," he continues, as we see him hack up that disgusting black slug. "Will Beyers....
