Mirela Rupic was born on March 21, 1967 in Orange County, California. Rupic graduated design at Woodbury University in San Diego. As a teenager she enjoyed in her two greatest loves drawing and fashion. Her talent for art was quickly noticed by teachers who encouraged her to continue developing it. After finishing high school she decided to go after her dream and moved to San Diego where Rupic graduated with Bachelor in Art and Design Degree.
Her first collection reflected her personal style. The clothes were with bright colors, asymmetric lines and sexy fits. At the age of 26, Mirela Rupic became one of the youngest costume designers to be recognized with an award for her contribution. He started working as an assistant designer with Milena Canonero and put her name behind projects like "The Affair of the Necklace," "Marie Antoinette," "Belle toujours" and others.
