Shanita Brown

Born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, Shanita always wanted to practice law. Being the only girl out of six children her parents considered her to be tough. She finished college with a master's degree in Law. Around the same time that she was attending college she started working on film and music video sets. She worked as an assistant director, background actress, camera assistant, script supervisor, gaffer and more. Shanita has worked on over 100 film sets. In 2019 she started writing movie scripts and kept them in a folder on her computer. In 2022 she made up her mind to start directing her own films. Being on set for so long gave her the hands-on knowledge she needed to direct films and more. Her very first film has been officially selected for more than 6 film festivals in the first two months of releasing her short film "Mine Since Birth". In 2022 she won the award for best women filmmaker and received an honorable mention award for best short film. Four months after releasing her first short film she released her second. Both films premiered at a major theatre in the Central Florida area. Shanita enjoys working closely with fresh new talent and also sharing any knowledge she has with them. She volunteers her time for good causes.
