India Brown is a British actress born in London. Most known for appearing as the fierce Jamila Huston in Invasion (Apple TV+), India began her career modeling aged just 6 months old and was a natural in front of the camera.
After enjoying auditioning for her school plays she had the opportunity to audition for the stage adaptation of 'The Lion King', landing the role of Young Nala, which she performed in the West End for a year.
At the age of 9, India decided she wanted to break into the television and film industry. After some commercial experience, India successfully gained her first speaking role on the return of acclaimed 1980's sitcom show 'Birds of a Feather'. India played Hannah, appearing in a scene with two of the show's leads, Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph.
Following her television debut, India has worked alongside great actors including Dennis Quaid (Fortitude, Sky Atlantic), David Walliams (The Midnight Gang, BBC), Ella Balinska (The Athena, Sky Kids), Richard Armitage and Dervla Kirwan (The Stranger, Netflix), Mark Wahlberg (Infinite, Paramount pictures), Zoë Wanamaker, Michael Palin, Steve Pemberton, Toby Jones, Paul Kaye, Dame Vanessa Redgrave and Bill Bailey (Worzel Gummidge, BBC).
Furthermore, India has been fortunate to work with and learn from directors including Antoine Fuqua, Jakob Verbruggen, Amanda Marsalis, Jamie Payne, Alik Sakharov, Brad Anderson, Mackenzie Crooke and Bertie Gilbert. This has allowed her to creatively explore a variety of director's visions in many different genres.
