Christina is a 20 year old Asian-American director originally from Birmingham, Alabama with a high school diploma from Interlochen Arts Academy for Motion Picture Arts. She spent a lot of her childhood watching classic cinema in hopes of belonging somewhere. As a result, her work is heavily inspired by classic French New Wave Cinema and Americana Cinema particularly in the 1960's and 70's. Her films are saturated, youthful visions of surreal dreamscapes and nostalgic memories.
Christina has directed several award-winning short films. She directed her first musical featurette, 'How the Moon Fell From the Sky and No One Even Noticed' at the age of 17 which also went viral on twitter in Thailand. She was chosen at 19, as a 'Semi-Finalist' for Macro (the studio behind Oscar nominated 'Fences', Boot's Riley's 'Sorry to Bother You') x The Black List's Episodic Lab. She has directed commercials for big brands like Crayola, Clearblue and many more. She has also worked with labels such as Terrible Records and Sony Music.
Her films and music videos have been featured on outlets like Billboard, the Fader, Refinery 29, OUT Magazine, The Gay Times and screened at several Oscar-qualifying film festivals all over the world.
