Rupali Sehgal is an actress and stand-up comedian of Indian origin. She was born and raised in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. Her upbringing was highly influenced by movies and television, especially Hollywood movies and television. She had a natural flair for acting and always knew that she wanted to be a successful actress. In school, and college, she was an A+ student. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Pune University in 2006, she moved to Mumbai to pursue acting in Bollywood.
However, after a while, Rupali was not content, and to explore more out of her passion and life, she moved to New York, USA in 2008. Where she worked in cafes and restaurants all over New York City and learned the American way of communicating and living. While she did these odd jobs to support herself, she also trained her craft by studying with some highly reputable acting coaches and studios in New York and LA, such as Anthony Abeson, Wynn Handman, Stella Adler and Ivana Chubbuck.
Rupali has been in dozens of commercials, plays, and short films. In 2021, one of her videos got over 933k views on YouTube and the same year she got in to stand-up comedy. Rupali in her comedy talks about her life experiences of being a first-generation immigrant and how the promise of American/Hollywood Dream is going for her. According to her, she has crossed borders to be here in Hollywood and she shall keep growing and contributing to Hollywood's creative industry in every way possible.
