He is widely regarded as a significant and influential up and coming filmmakers in Atlanta cinema today. He is part of the New Atlantawood wave of filmmaking had a vision; this vision coupled with a zealous desire to express himself through film led him to his very first audition in New York City. This experience developed his interest in working behind the scenes and birthing his own production company. Rashyn Washington moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2008 in pursuance of a formal education in film production at the Art Institute of Atlanta.
In 2014 Rashyn wrote and Directed his own film called " Lost & Turnt Out " which will be released in 2019.
