Peter May is a UK-based composer and orchestrator who specialises in working with live musicians and creating bespoke soundtracks for film and media productions.
Graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2013 with a First Class Honours degree in Music Production, Peter was the first recipient of the Olivier Whittaker Prize For Interdisciplinary Collaboration.
Specialising in Music for Media and Orchestration, Peter received his Masters of Music degree from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2019 and recorded his debut concert work with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
Peter also arranges music for live performance. Since graduating, he has continued to work with Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra and collaborated with former members of ELO to re-interpret and arrange orchestral parts for a multimedia concert. In 2020, Peter was commissioned to write an original work for Youth Orchestras in Gloucestershire, titled: 'A Week 'Til Christmas'.
