James is a northern-based camera operator, documentary filmmaker and director of photography whose images help shape authentic stories for broadcast television, documentaries, corporate communications and online branded content.
James trained at the BBC, Arri Academy and National Film and Television School and possesses years of experience as a combat camera operator in the Royal Air Force, training at the Defense School of Photography, RAF Cosford.
Now an industry veteran, James has over a decade of international shooting experience in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia and maintains a US I Media Visa with US Global Entry. With an eye to self-improvement, James was recently mentored by an Oscar-winning BSC through the ScreenSkills mentorship programme - working on drama productions for Netflix and the BBC.
He has produced and directed two feature documentaries and multiple short-form projects which combine his narrative production experience and factual storytelling background.
