Robert Keith Kelly was born and raised in West Virginia but now resides
in Athens Georgia. Keith is of Irish and Italian ancestry - his father Robert
was a factory worker, his mother Dorothy a beautician - and he was
the first in his family to attend college. He studied screen-writing at UCLA and received degrees from W.Va. University, W.Va. Tech, Fairmont University,
and the University of Georgia. He has a total of five degrees - thus the name
5 Degrees Production Company.
Before film work Keith was a teacher/coach on the high school and college level. He is also a successful photographer and woodworker. While teaching Architectural design he designed and built his own house and much of the furniture inside. He spent many years as an athlete in several sports and Qualified for both the Winter and Summer Olympic trials after the age of 40.
His first part in a feature film was as a policeman in "We Are Marshal"
Kelly is passionate about causes involving children and education. He is committed to writing and directing his own films.
