Nava Mau earned an Emmy nomination (in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category) for her breakthrough performance as the lead character’s love interest Teri in the hit Netflix series Baby Reindeer, and was named as a 2024 BAFTA Breakthrough cohort. We’ve previously heard that she will be following up her Baby Reindeer success with a role on the final season of the Netflix series You, and now Deadline has broken the news that she’s set to star in the comedic thriller The Dregs – which has something to do with a cursed wine bottle.

Before appearing on Baby Reindeer, Mau played the role of Ana on 16 episodes of the Max streaming series Generation. (16 episodes also happens to have been the show’s full run.)

Set in Tuscany, The Dregs will mark the directorial debut of writer Connor Martin. Filming is expected to begin in Italy next March.

While Gh’s executive producer Frank Valentini revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that they don’t plan on recasting the character at this time, many viewers responded hoping to change his mind. The most popular choice of recast became Robert Adamson, who soap fans not only remember as Noah on The Young and the Restless, but as Duell’s temporary recast off and on since 2022.

Exclusive: Fresh off of being named to BAFTA Breakthrough’s 2024 cohort, Baby Reindeer breakout has come aboard to star in The Dregs, a Tuscany-set comedic thriller marking the directorial debut of writer Connor Martin.

Shooting in Italy in March, The Dregs centers on a friends’ trip to Tuscany that gets derailed by old wounds and a cursed bottle of Vin Santo.

Others in the cast include Benjamin Norris (Never Have I Ever), Marta Pozzan (From Scratch), Maria Grazia Cucinotta (Il Postino), and Zach Tinker (American Horror Story), who acts as executive producer.

Mike Stern developed the project and will produce through Astral Plane, with Alessandro Bertolucci serving as co-producer via Dublab It. Co-EPs include Pozzan, Jeremy O’Keefe, Marco Allegri, and Austin Aronson. O’Keefe handled casting via Jok Casting.

On Thursday’s episode, aptly titled “Hotshots,” Athena (Angela Bassett) tried to catch up with the flash mob robbers who had infiltrated Los Angeles. She pulled her hamstring when she chased after them, so she was assigned a rookie to mentor her while on duty.

Tinker took on the role of the power-hungry new cop on duty. The LAPD spent $200,000 for his training. Athena had a bad feeling about him during their first call. She learned that the new guy on the block loved the “power” that came with being a police officer.

If she does end up in the psychiatric facility, she could put a tamp on all her crazy and escape. Or convince them that she’s suddenly cured. Nobody puts Connie in a corner for long.

That place isn’t completely known for its security. So, is this the end of Connie’s crime spree, or are we just on a break? Villains tend to make many, many return appearances in Salem.

Will and Sonny (ex-Zach Tinker) have been a fan favorite couple since their romance began in 2012. Since, the two have navigated breakups, marriages, parenting woes, and even one’s murder.

Still, Will and Sonny, lovingly known by shippers as WilSon, have made it through it all and came out even stronger. After remarrying on Will’s deathbed in 2019 and endured the LGBTQ+ struggles of adoption, the husbands left Salem for a fresh start in Arizona in 2020.

Weakest Link has its return date. The nine remaining episodes of season three will begin airing in April, and NBC viewers will see a special episode featuring the stars of Days of Our Lives to kick off the return.

Viewers will see soap opera veterans Lindsay Arnold, Bryan Dattilo, Galen Gering, Tina Huang, Victoria Konefal, Martha Madison, Eric Martsolf, and Zach Tinker competing in the series to raise money for charity. This version of the series is hosted by Jane Lynch.

The magazine Soap Opera Digest reported the three cast members’ impending exits, per TVLine, adding that Massey and Tinker will leave Salem sometime in the week of episodes starting on Monday, February 13. Arnold, meanwhile, has filmed her last Days scene, but it’s not yet known when her final episode will stream, the magazine adds. Days of Our Lives is saying goodbye to more beloved characters.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Chandler Massey and Zach Tinker are departing the Peacock daytime soap during next week's episodes.

Thursday, February 16, marks their last installment of the series, according to the aforementioned magazine.

Their relationship issues are set to come to a head when Will prepares to leave town for New Zealand for work.

We don't know how WilSon will end, so we'll have to tune in for the episode next week.

“Days of Our Lives” honoured Jennifer Aniston‘s late father, John Aniston, who made his final appearance as Victor Kiriakis on Monday’s episode of the long-running soap opera. The tribute came after John, who played the character for nearly 40 years, died in November at the age of 89.

During the Christmas-themed episode, Victor’s scenes saw him clashing with his nephew Sonny (Zach Tinker) and his ex-husband Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) before the three finally made up. The episode then ends with a montage of several memorable moments from John’s time on the series before he boards his yacht and sails off into the sunset.
