Psychopomp, the 2024 directorial debut of Anthony Bushman, is a psychological thriller that delves into the harrowing journey of Theo, a microbiology student confronting a global super virus. The narrative centres on Theo’s desperate attempt to combat the pandemic by leading a clandestine group through unauthorised human trials. Tragically, these experiments result in the deaths of his friends, leaving potential treatments untested and Theo increasingly isolated. As solitude engulfs him, the boundaries between reality and delusion blur, propelling both Theo and the audience into a labyrinth of uncertainty.
The film’s inception is as compelling as its plot. Originally slated to begin production in March 2020, Psychopomp faced an abrupt halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This...

Arla Grigoryan has only been Blindspot‘s interim FBI director for a short while, but she’s not shy about wielding her power.
Case in point: our exclusive sneak peek at the NBC drama’s series finale (Thursday, 9/8c), in which Arla — who was tapped to temporarily replace the dearly departed Matthew Weitz — dismisses Weller, Zapata, Patterson and Rich Dotcom from their roles at the FBI, even as Ivy Sands remains a threat.

After incredibly short incarcerations and death, the Blindspot team is barreling toward the finish line.
The final fates of Madeline and Weitz were decided on Blindspot Season 5 Episode 9 and Blindspot Season 5 Episode 10.
But Ivy and the Zip are still on the loose as we get to wait two weeks for the series finale.
Why two weeks? Good question. One that should be directed to NBC programmers.
Next Thursday, NBC is airing a 30 Rock upfront special at 8, following by reruns of Superstore and Brooklyn 99 at 9.
So Blindspot's shortened fifth season gets broken up for a second time, so NBC can promote its fall schedule, which is still weeks away, a week earlier.
That makes as much sense as many NBC programming choices.
See? My rant broke up this review just like NBC is breaking up Blindspot Season 5.
Now back to our regularly scheduled review.

Did Patterson's father help the team?
On Blindspot Season 5 Episode 2, the gang contacted the government official because they wanted assistance in gaining access to a high-level conference in Findland.
Their ultimate goal, however, was to bring Matthew Weitz over to their side.
With lives on the line, Jane had to make a risky decision to save everyone.
Did her plan work?

The following post contains major spoilers for Blindspot‘s final season premiere. If you haven’t watched the episode yet, avert your eyes!
If TVLine polls could influence the fictional events of television shows, Blindspot‘s final season premiere would have come and gone without a single character death. Earlier this week, we asked you to guess which character on the NBC drama might perish in the first episode of Season 5, following a drone strike that could have killed Weller, Patterson, Reade and/or Zapata — and most of you didn’t think any characters would actually die.

The following post contains major spoilers for Blindspot‘s Season 4 finale.
It’s going to be a long and brutal hiatus for Blindspot fans.
The NBC drama’s fourth season concluded on Friday with a two-hour finale, which left the lives of Weller, Reade, Zapata and Patterson hanging in the balance. And though the show has been renewed for a truncated final season, it won’t be back on NBC’s schedule until midseason. In other words? At least seven months remain until we find out which FBI agents — if any — survived.

Is it just me, Blindspot fans, or have we been here before?
Friday’s fall finale found Jane — well, Remi, but you can’t make me call her that! — carrying out her master plan to rebuild Sandstorm and take down the FBI. And if that synopsis gives you a little déjà vu, it’s because the NBC drama pulled off something similar in its Season 2 finale, when Shepherd and her fellow Sandstorm members tried to overthrow the government.
Jane’s plan, admittedly, is not quite that drastic. She isn’t exactly trying to abolish all law enforcement and start society anew.

I’ve got some bad news for Blindspot fans who were hoping Jane’s evil turn as Remi would be short-lived.
As evidenced by Friday’s Season 4 premiere, it seems Remi will be sticking around for a while — but when it comes to her nefarious plan to take down the FBI team, she’s working on borrowed time.
The premiere picks up three months after last May’s finale, and Jane — who I’m just going to keep calling Jane, because consistency! — is working with the FBI to procure one of several data caches that Roman left behind when he died.
