Federica Salvatori(I)

Federica Salvatori is an Italian director and screenwriter. During high school she cultivated her passion for photography and image language producing photo shoots and portraits in particular. In 2008 she participated in the Advanced Training Course on "Proficiency in Cinematic and Audiovisual Process and Production" sponsored by the Lazio Region. Right after she began working as a production assistant at a communications agency based in Rome, specializing in co-production and promotion in the audiovisual sector. Then, she took up a course focused on film directing, taught by the Spanish director Jaime Garcia Ruiz, in Rome. In 2012, she moved to London to become more familiar with the English language and, after two years, she founded in Italy an independent working group, made up of different professionals of the film industry. During the time of her training, she attended different workshops including the ones given by Juan Carlos Corazza, Sergio Rubini and the Intensive Directing Class at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. In 2014, she wrote and directed the short film "Paper flowers" which was shown at many festivals and got important recognition such as "Premio Sorriso Diverso" at the Tulipani di Seta Nera International Film Festival 2016 in collaboration with RAI Cinema. In 2017 she completed the short film "Rosso Amaranto" which was selected by the Short Film Corner section at the Cannes Film Festival, where she established a collaboration with a French cinematographic production. She just finished her last short film "Maya", shot in Paris and starring the French actress Sophie Venecia Reyes.
