Born Babatope Famusipe to Nigerian Parents in Washington D.C. A first generation American-Nigerian fell in love with acting at young age after growing up watching shows and films such as S.W.A.T, 6 million dollar man, James Bond, Bruce Lee, Star Wars, Cosby show and Different World. Lived and grew up in Nigeria for 11 years and speaks multiple dialects and multiple accents. Put the love for acting on hold after returning to the United States in 1990 to pursue a college education. Attended Seton Hall University from 1992 to 1996, Lived in New York, New Jersey , Columbus Ohio, and Currently in Atlanta Georgia. Working in the IT corporate sector for over 21 years as a Sr Business Process Engineer. Resumed the love and passion of acting in 2013 by attending The Actors Scene Acting school In Buford GA, Since then Tobie has over 40 film and TV projects and counting to his credit and multiple workshops and training. Nominated for best supporting actor for the short film Eternal Game in 2016, Won for best Actor for the Film Passion and Pain and the TPN film fest in Atlanta GA in which he wrote and starred in. And nominated for Best Actor at the 2nd annual TPN Film Awards in June 2017, and in 2019 won for best Actor in Film and photography at the 2019 RICE AWARDS in Atlanta GA. And in 2020 was honored at the B.L.A.C.K I.A.M Awards for the multi talented achievement award.
