Nathan Fagan is an award-winning, IFTA-nominated Irish filmmaker. Working across drama and documentary, his short films have won numerous awards at national and international film festivals.
His short film, Flicker, won the prestigious Grand Prix Award at the Cork International Film Festival, placing it on the long-list for the Academy Awards. It was then nominated for Best Short Film at the 2021 Irish Film & Television Awards. His next film, Skin to Skin, premiered on Nowness. It won the award for Best Short Film at the 2022 Emerging Director Awards. It was subsequently nominated for a Young Director Award at the Cannes YDA's. His short film, Mud Queen, won the Audience Award at the 2023 Dublin International Film Festival.
In 2022, he was awarded a place on the Screen Ireland Mentorship scheme, under the mentorship of filmmaker Kieron J. Walsh. In 2022, he also sat on the Short Film Jury for the Cork International Film Festival.
